A good percentage of my Saturday was spent stuck in traffic, due to the rainy weather. I didn’t really care, until I got to the Innaloo shopping centre, where all I wanted to do was grab some food shopping, so I could actually eat something on the weekend. Instead I was held hostage in the car park thanks to the massive downpour and blocked drains. I was all good, as I had managed to go in and do the shopping, but wasn’t going to be able to get home to toast my crumpets for a while – and uncooked ones are gross!

Apparently the underwater car park was just as bad, so I’m sure the shops would have gained some extra cash and probably a whole bunch of ‘unhappy campers’ as well. It was so deep on the road that they weren’t even letting four wheel drives through – then all of a sudden the drains were unblocked and the water disappeared within minutes. I don’t quite know where it all went, but I could finally leave the car park, with my crumpets and melting tub of ice cream.

Anyone else get caught up the rain on Saturday?

We made it home from the rocky shops just in time. I could see in the rear veiw mirror how dark it was towards the ocean and said to my wife that we were in for a storm, wasent wrong, it was the wildest I have seen in a long time. Luckly no damage this time.

We had an adventure to IKEA in the rain. It was ridiculous, there were so many people and we ended up parking ages away in the rain and weredrwned rats before we got inside. And after all that 'excitement' I ended up buying everyhting except what origninally went there for! It was crazy!

I loved the storm - it was fantastic, so much rain and wind. Luckily, there was no netball on Saturday, due to a FNA bye.

A friend of mine in Attadale had her mains power that is connected to the house from the road, hit by lightning, so was without power until Sunday afternoon. Pretty scary for her, but luckily no other damage.

I loved the rain, I was at home in bed watching movies, recovering from Friday night!
