Chris Connolly quit as Fremantle Dockers coach today, effective immediately, after 129 matches in charge. Connolly told the club yesterday that he would not be seeking reappointment as coach for next year and therefore it was best that he step aside straight away.

Great cartoon Jason, but seriously, Chris Connolly was always fighting a losing battle coaching those dockers. Hopefully he might go and find a team to coach that he can make a difference on - like the Attadale Bombers under 16's. I really do wish him the best of luck!

I shoudl declare as a footnote that I am a Dockers supporter, and have been since 97.. and its been one of the most harrowing and heartbreaking experiences I've had. I was a member of the Dockers Derby Club with my dad for several seasons and had to sit through loss after loss...

Doesn't matter how much you support them, it's embarrassing.
Although I will say that I was pretty excited last season..

I was nervouse everytime the Dockers played the Eagles last season. I was freaking out that if we had to play the Dockers in the Grand Final, or in a game leading up to the Grand Final, they would have knocked us out for sure. They have had their peak last year they were pretty good, but those days are over!
