The word on the catwalk is that Perth's own supermodel Gemma Ward will be kicking off the high heels and hanging up the designer clothes to hit the big screen in Hollywood.
She might be at the peak of her career - earning up to $20,000 a runway show, but Gemma wants to head to Hollywood and focus on making it big in the movie world.
I thought she did a great job in the Australian film 'Black Balloon', the movie itself was outstanding. Good on her I say, she has been in the modelling scene since being scouted at 16. I'm sure if this movie thing desn't work out for her, she'll be quickly invited back onto the runway to strut her stuff again.
