A lot of my friends have been talking about "The Good Old Days" where petrol was 32c a litre (leaded) and diesel was about 25c.

When you could go down to the shop buy some milk, bread and the newspaper from whatever coins you had in your pocket.

The days when the busses had those little scrolling TV-like screens inside and you would hook your bicycle up on the hooks on the back of the bus.

So it got me thinking - and I did some searching, and came up with these classic old photos of Perth! Makes you realise just how far we've come!

Wow - love that one of the people sitting on the hill overlooking the construction of the narrows. Just think - that's all private land and penthouses now :)

this might be a really stupid question, but what was there beofre the narrows, like how did they get across to south perth? was the causeway already there... or what?
