A demonstration march to save the Station Street Markets in Subiaco will be held on Saturday, October 20 from 12 - 1pm.

They invite anybody interested in the markets to wear something yellow - a shirt, ribbon, headband, hat - and join in.

Owners of the markets have been given approval by the Subiaco Redevelopment Authority to build a four-storey office block on the south side.

The developer, Greg Pearce, has said they will keep the markets, but reduce the number of stalls and add a piazza.

We need at least the Station Street Markets in Subi! All houses and office blocks is no fun, and without the Subi Cinemas, it's getting a bit dull!
