Several Perth bars are trying to keep trouble-makers out by turning away people aged under 25.

Personally I find this extremely offensive. Why should I, a rational, mature 23-year old be tarred with the same brush as a bogan binge-drinking tool who does 30 shots of tequila and ends up king-hitting an innocent bystander? Once again the minority ruin it for a massive majority.

And why is 25 the magic cut-off number? What's the difference between a 25 year-old and a 26-year old? Do you magically suddenly become LESS likely to binge on your 26th birthday?

It shouldn't be in place at all, but if it should - It should be a restriction on 21's and under.

I think it's a good idea to have some restrictions, but 25 and over. I reckon there are some younger people out there that are more mature than 25 year olds.

I think this rule is good in a way, but at the same time - I think my friends and I (who are under 25) should be able to socialise with older people at a bar. Otherwise we'll be stuck with guys and girls our own age at Club Bayview or the Hip-E club.

And we don't want that! We don't want to 'converse' with drunken 18 year olds who have fake ID's and don't know how to control themselves (occasionally it's fun, but not all the time!)

The Avenue in Claremont used to do this. But then no one was going there. So now you just have to look good to get in. So there are lots of young hot girls in there.

I don't want to be stuck with people just over 25. There are lots of younger people out there that are better behaved then some of my mates. I don't think it's fair not to let them in.

I don't frequent the pub/club scene much anymore these days, but the majority of the younger people aren't too bad. I'm quite happy to share my 'space' with them.

Bloody classic cartoon Jason.
I think it's ridiculous this new rule.

Looks like that bouncer would be able to squash that guy with his finger.

I think pubs should be able to choose.
Personally I think I should be in charge of letting people in, like places should hire me - i'm good looking, so people will want to come see me, and i have good looking friends, so then they shoud be let in, regardless of their age, and then other good looking people will want to come there to see my good looking friends.

who cares how old they are, as long as they are a good looking drunk.
