The Weather Bureau is predicting higher than average temperatures and rainfall for Perth this summer, as a result of warmer conditions in the tropical and sub-tropical Indian Ocean regions.

The bureau says there is a 65 per cent chance of good rains in the coming months for the Wheatbelt and Perth and a slightly lower chance in the South West.
