If you thought peeing into a urinal couldn't be fun, well you will be glad to hear about the latest Belgium invention - a video game in the public loo - one that relies on players hitting sensors in urinals to control the game play.
Werner Dupont and Bart Geraets, a software and electrical engineer, have developed the "Place to Pee" games to be playable for two bathroom visitors at time. Apparently the idea for the game came to them while they were on a binge one night on Belgian ale, which I hear is the time when most genius breakthroughs take place in that part of the world.
The game has two modes - one features a ski race that has players compete against each other on a virtual slalom course and a the second is a space battle where you fire on hostile aliens with your... gun.
Now the real genius of this concept is that it's not restricted to males - the Belgium's would never conceive such a sexist game. Women are able to get into the action by making use of a specially-designed paper cone which will be available in the women's loo's.
But before you all start booking tickets to Belgium, apparently the franchise that developed these games was recently shutdown by Belgian gendarmes due to claims of indecency.
