What do you get when you cross Boxing with Chess? Well Chess Boxing of course!
Hehe I came across this crazy sport (it's for real) and thought I'd share it with everyone. LOL
The rules go like this:
"First, there are 2 contestants of similar height and weight placed in the ring. They play 11 successive, alternating rounds of chess, then boxing. The match begins with a chessboard in the middle of the ring, where they have 4 minutes to play a round of chess. If a player fails to move in the 4 minutes, they are issued a warning. If they are issued 2 warnings, then the player is disqualified. Following the chess round, the boxing round commences. The players have one minute to change their gear and put on their boxing gloves and headpiece. There is then a 2 minute round of boxing. This is repeated until the 11 rounds are complete."
"A player can win a match of chess boxing by checkmate, knockout, by referee’s decision, or if their opponent takes more than the allotted total of 12 minutes for a complete game on the chess board. If the match ends in a stalemate, then their score in boxing determines the victor. If the scorecards are equivalent, then the player with the black pieces automatically wins the match."
