So im about to apply for a new job at work. The thing is, is that to get the job, id need to spend heaps of time on the application. Time that could be spent doing my current job.

So the irony is, is if i spent more time doing my job and getting better at it, and less time perfecting my job application, id be better at my job, but my job application would suck.

So then i wouldnt get the job, even though im wicked at my current job.

So the rule is, dont get good at ur job, get good at job applications/interviews etc. Makes sense to me.

Unless its this job which is actually a promotional position, as opposed to a 'i suck at my job and need to get out of here' position. In which case i confuse myself with the rule.
