What to do in Perth?

For some reason, and maybe a justified one, Perth has a bad rep for being boring.  I remember when I arrived in Perth first, they were selling that newspaper – you know the one where the uni students fling themselves in front of your car in the hope that you’ll buy the uni rag – a parody newspaper.  Anyway, all the headlines seemed to suggest that Perth is the most boring city on earth.

So I am wondering what is there to do in Perth?  Or why do people seem to think that there is nothing to do here?
